SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT

On 11/25/03 I was contacted by Sergeant Mo Brickley of the Narcotics Division who directed me to assist Deputy Dougan regarding an investigation concerning the cultivation of marijuana. I was directed to respond to 11307 Hess Blvd in Morongo Valley.

Upon arriving at the location I secured the residence with deputy Wolf of the Morongo Basin Station while Deputy Dougan obtained a search warrant for the property. Also at the location was the resident Mr. Canada

SUBJECT CONTACT: SWERDLOW, LANNY

While waiting for Deputy Dougan to return with a signed copy of the search warrant, I heard a knock on the door. Deputy Wolf answered the door and I heard him talking to an individual outside. Deputy Wolf closed the door after speaking to the individual outside for a short time. As I walked near the front door I heard voices outside. I exited the front door of the location and saw a white male adult and a white female adult talking. Both subjects were standing in front of the window of the apartment, which had been secured pending the search warrant. I contacted the two subjects and asked if I could help them. The white female adult, later identified as Bonita Millard, informed me she was the landlady of the property. The male subject identified himself as Lanny Swerdlow. Swerdlow demanded to know what was going on and also demanded to speak with Craig Canada who was currently detained inside the residence. I told Swerdlow he could not currently talk to Canada and the residence was currently being secured pending a search warrant. Swerdlow again stated he wanted to go inside to talk to Canada. I told Swerdlow again he was not going to go inside the residence and he was not going to talk to his friend Canada. Swerdlow proceeded to argue with me and demanded my name and then demanded I give him my card. I gave Swerdlow my name and told him I was not going to give him my card and he needed to leave the property. Swerdlow then ordered Millard to go get him a pen and paper so he could write my name down.
